The first photography workshop took off...
The group was so enthusiastic, it was decided to have ongoing sessions. They will be held on the 2nd Sunday of each month, from 10:30am to 1:30pm. There will be a $5.00 drop in fee for non-members. Members of the Community Centre are free. We hope you will consider joining the Community Centre!

Join us at the Community Centre for a Photography Workshop on the 2nd Sunday of each month. Our goal is to improve our photography skills, expand our knowledge, and meet others who share our passion. Occasionally we may head outside to do some walk-about field trips. Your facilitators are Roy Allen and Warren Lowe from Green Lake. Photographers of all levels are welcome, and it doesn't matter what kind of imaging tool you are using, be it a smart phone, Ipad, point-and-shoot, or an interchangeable lens camera. Guests - $5.00 and agree to the waiver. Members - free

Family Movie Night Sun July 13, 7pm. Doors open 6:30. Playing, Despicable Me 2. By donation - Drinks $1, Popcorn $1 Treats .25¢ (Or $2 for the bundle). Aug 23, 2025 -Potluck dinner
Another delicious potluck dinner, and a chance to get together for good times with neighbours, friends and family! This event is free. Bring your favourite main dish, side dish, salad, or desert to share! Doors open @ 4:30 pm, signup and mingle. Dinner @ 5:30 pm Corn Hole Tournament starts @ 6:30 pm - Prizes to be won! No pressure to play.. Please pre-register for this event, as there is limited seating, and it's first-come-first-served. When you go to register, you will see how many places are remaining.

Sweater Pumpkin Craft!
Monday October 6, 1-3pm Yes! You can turn parts of a sweater into a pumpkin to be part of your Fall decor. Coffee, tea, and goodies provided, as well as all the supplies and materials needed! Additional things you can bring if you wish… If you have a sweater and matching thread or yarn you would like to use. Scissors, glue gun/glue sticks, other crafts you would like to use to personalize your creation. Members $5, non-members $10. (Please pay when you arrive).

There is a meat draw to be held at Eddy's Pub, and part of the proceeds will go to our Community Centre! We want to be there to support the event. Check here later, as if the weather is good, we will have an ATV ride to Eddys that day. Otherwise, or in any case, consider driving in to the Pub for the draw!
Strength training class
Join Amy Allen Perry for a strength training session on Wednesday, November 12 at 10am. Cost: $10 for members. $12 for non-members. Class will have a good cardio and mobility warm up, strength training segment focusing on form and a cool down and stretch (standing stretch if preferred). All levels welcome! So come on out and give it a try. We have a limited supply of weights so bring your own if you have them. A little info about Amy… She has a certification in Group Fitness and Weight Training. Was a BCRPA registered group fitness instructor first 11 years teaching a variety of classes from step, interval training, cardio/weights/stretch, bootcamp and dance.
Dec 13th, 2025 - Christmas Dinner
Save the date! South Green VFD and the Green Lake Community Centre .... Invite you to a Christmas Dinner at the Community Hall! We will be providing the turkey and ham - please bring your favourite appy, seasonal pot luck dish, or dessert to round out the meal. This will be a free event. There will be a wacky (fun) Christmas gift exchange - Not mandatory, but if you bring a wrapped gift, you will get a gift. There will be a food bank donation box as well for perishable items or $$. Please pre-register so we know how many to expect. Max 80 seats.
